Doug is a business-minded attorney who served as an in-house attorney and legal consultant for over twenty years. He gained valuable insight while holding various executive positions in privately held and publicly traded companies. He understandsthe demands on in-house lawyers and expectations of management for the efficient, cost-effective delivery of legal results. Doug specializes in the areas of commercial negotiations and contracting, licensing (software (SaaS, Iaas, PaaS), content, and other intellectual property), telecommunications, corporate governance and policy development, and intellectual property portfolio management.
Doug works with startups and established companies. He has served as a legal advisor to and counseled both. With almost 30 years of overall legal experience, in-depth knowledge of the federal, state, and international laws and regulations, and good legal instincts, he devises effective solutions for technology and communications companies. He also regularly provides legal and business advice to innovators in the areas of new product development and in negotiations of inbound service agreements, marketing and distribution agreements, and domestic and international outsourcing arrangements.

Doug holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and continues to practice law as an attorney and a legal consultant for business clients. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
